Rising Heaven
Rising Heaven is a wuxia/cultivation roguelite deckbuilder where you cultivate martial arts, build technique decks, and ascend through cultivation realms
Train at your sect, embark on expeditions through branching maps, and battle enemies with a card-based combat system inspired by Slay the Spire, set in the world of Chinese martial arts fiction.
Features:
- 240+ technique cards across 5 martial art categories
- 57 enemies with hand-painted ink-wash portraits
- Roguelite runs with branching maps, events, merchants, and rest sites
- Cultivation progression: Body Tempering → Qi Refining → Foundation Building → Golden Core
- Body tempering system, qi deviation mechanic, breakthrough gambits
- English and Chinese language
Current State: Early alpha. The core gameplay loop is complete and playable. Audio is work-in-progress (some SFX present, no background music yet). We're looking for feedback on combat feel, difficulty, and the wuxia setting
We'd love to hear:
- Is the combat fun? Does the card system feel good?
- Is the wuxia/cultivation setting compelling?
- Where did you get confused?
- What would make you want to keep playing?
Controls: Mouse/click to play cards. Tap a card to select, tap again to play. End Turn button when done.
Known Issues: No background music. Some sound effects may be missing. macOS users may need to right-click → Open to bypass Gatekeeper.
